Egg Keema
Egg Keema is a delicious vegetarian twist on the classic keema, made with finely grated boiled eggs cooked in a flavourful onion and tomato masala. Infused with aromatic spices, fresh herbs, and butter, this comforting dish is packed with rich flavours and pairs perfectly with pav, roti, paratha, or steamed rice.

Ingredients
For the Egg Keema
- Boiled Eggs – 8
- Butter – 1 tbsp
For the Masala
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Butter – 2 tbsp
- Onions – 2 medium, finely chopped
- Tomatoes – 3 medium, finely chopped
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
- Green Chillies – 2, finely chopped
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1 tsp
- Pav Bhaji Masala – 1 tsp (optional)
- Fresh Coriander – 2 tbsp, chopped
- Salt – to taste
Recipe
- Boil the eggs, peel them, and grate them using a fine grater. Keep aside.
- Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and green chillies. Cook until the raw aroma disappears.
- Add chopped tomatoes, Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil begins to separate.
- Add the grated boiled eggs and mix well until evenly coated with the masala.
- Stir in garam masala, pav bhaji masala (if using), and butter. Mix gently to combine all the flavours.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
